i was wrong in the video, make sure when you're making the cake batter, mix sugar and egg first until creamy, pour in milk, and oil. add in dry ingredients mix until combine. slowly pour in hot water and mix for 10 seconds

here are the recipe :
(WET INGREDIENTS)
60ml oil
110ml full cream milk room temperature
1 egg
110ml hot water

(DRY INGREDIENTS)
163 All purpose flour
207grams Sugar
1tsp baking powder
1/4tsp salt.

bake for 35 minutes 180'C

for the pudding mixture:
400ml full cream milk
50grams sugar
35grams corn flour
